OCCUPATION: I’m the owner of Anglesport Grabmayer, a big fishing tackle shop in Austria.

Most memorable angling moment: When I was the co-winner of the huge World Carp Cup in 2002. It was held at Raduta Lake in Romania, with the closing ceremonies then held at the Presidential Palace in Bucharest. It attracted many very well known anglers from around the world, including Tim Paisley, Steve Briggs, Lee Jackson, and Martin Locke.

Favourite venue: I have more than one favourite venue. These include: The Danube Delta, The Po Delta, and Lake Raduta.

Biggest carp: To-date my biggest carp weighed in at 31.8kg - the one known as The Big Common from Lake Raduta.

Ambitions in carp fishing: I always try to enjoy my time on the bank the most. Of course catching is important, but just being out in nature is also very important too. Catching big fish is a bonus! Another side of my fishing that I enjoy is uncovering new venues; being the first to catch a new carp and the first to step on the banks with modern day gear. There’s still plenty of venues like this around the world, totally uncovered by European carpers.

Likes outside of angling: I like listening to music, ranging from Hip Hop, Funk, R n B, Jazz to Techno - I like the whole spectrum!

Dislikes: Cleaning my fishing tackle and keeping it organised!
 
Do you like sport: I like all kinds of sport, but mainly I like those which involve water. I’ve been a crazy windsurfer in my past. I also enjoy jogging and cycling every now and then.

All time dream girl: Besides my wife, I would say it’s Angelina Jolie.

Ambitions in life: To keep going well with my business, and to also try to find more time for some fishing and for my family. Most importantly though I want to remain the same kind of man that I am today.
