Mark BartlettMost memorable carp: It had to be catching my first carp from Lake Raduta, a big-plated mirror that I caught from the famous Church Bay. That moment has always stuck in my mind.

Most memorable angling moment: A few years ago now, I fished in the BCAC when I had just turned 14 and I managed to win my qualifier fishing against the adults - it was a really good feeling!

Favourite venue:  All of the venues I’ve fished have been favourites in one way or another. I've enjoyed fishing every one of them.

Venues I'd like to fish: I’m always open to new challenges especially when it
has anything to do with carp. I'd like to put a few of the Sandhurst jewels on the bank at some point over the next year.

Favourite Venture product: The Razorback does it for me! It makes carp fishing
so much easier - and to be fair I have to say it is the sexiest house you’ll see on the bank!

Mark BartlettAngling icons: In my younger days if I was ever off school for any reason I used to just sit at home and watch the old Dream at Madine videos with Stevie Briggs, Rob Hughes and Simon Crow and since then I’ve always kept an eye on what they’ve been up to. Other than that, anyone from whom I’ve learned something from along the way deserves a bit of respect.

Angling CV:  I became British junior champion at the age of 14, which therefore
led me to be the youngest person ever to qualify for the adults BCAC. I’ve now qualified for the BCAC finals for three consecutive years. Also at the age of 14 I fished the WCC when it was held at Madine. I have contributed to Carp Talk and Crafty Carper magazines. I was the European team champion when fishing under the Welsh banner. I have fished successfully around the world in no fewer than nine different countries, while at home in the UK I have set foot on seventy-three different waters.
